It is with great sadness that we prepare for the departure of our Executive Director, Vanessa Milio, who is leaving No More Stolen Childhoods.

Vanessa Milio, who is leaving No More Stolen Childhoods.  We recognize and appreciate that, during her tenure, Vanessa’s impact on our organization and in the community has It is with great sadness that we prepare for the departure of our Executive Director, been significant.

In her leadership role, Vanessa established model programs dedicated to increasing awareness and understanding about childhood sexual abuse.  She formed important, collaborative partnerships with national and state-based nonprofit partners, survivors’ groups and community members to leverage our strength in developing training programs and in advancing critical legislative bills.  In support of adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse, we established a counseling grants program, which to date has provided over 325 counseling sessions.

While we are disappointed to be losing Vanessa’s passion and commitment, we are resolute in our mission and look forward to discovering the next talented individual to carry our torch.

To that end, we are currently recruiting for our next Executive Director.  This will be an exciting and important role in our organization as we continue to grow.  Our new Executive Director will be supported by talented and highly engaged staff, volunteers and board members, who are all committed to our role as a leader and a partner in the community effort to address the public health crisis of childhood sexual abuse.

We ask that you share the news of this opportunity throughout your network and thank you for your continued support of No More Stolen Childhoods.
