Child Abuse Prevention Month 2021
Each April, communities across the country come together to raise awareness about child abuse and the steps we can all take to prevent abuse from occurring. At No More Stolen Childhoods, we use the month’s focus to draw attention to child sexual abuse and the action we can all take, as trusted adults, to protect the kids in our lives.
This year, as we slowly emerge from the COVID-19 global pandemic, we continue to be aware of the impact that the last year has had on all of us. We have all been impacted by the pandemic, the changes to our daily lives and the access we typically have to community safety nets. This year, NMSC is highlighting the need for all of us to be Stewards of Children, to learn the steps it takes to keep kids safe and to work towards safer communities for everyone. We will also be highlighting the ongoing need for safety online, for awareness and action to protect our kids on the devices we have all come to rely on for work, school and entertainment.
Each week you’ll find a new blog post highlighting these issues as well as tips and training opportunities available to you, all at no charge.
We hope you take some time to explore the resources on our website for parents, caregivers and adult survivors.
Together we can create communities where everyone has access to the tools they need to stay healthy and thrive.
