In her role as Executive Director, Katie works closely with our committed Board of Directors, staff, community partners and all stakeholders to move our mission forward. Katie’s leadership experience includes over ten years of senior leadership roles in quality compliance and program operations and a decade of experience in direct services and program supervision supporting older adults.
Katie brings with her a passion for serving those who have been marginalized, traditionally underserved, and are vulnerable to victimization. A native of Carroll County, she has spent the better part of her career overseeing regional programming throughout Central Maryland.
Katie values the power of partnership and leveraging existing resources to grow and increase access to services, develop innovative programming, and maintain financial viability and long-term sustainability. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from Towson University and attended post baccalaureate studies at McDaniel College.
Nitai Joseph, MSc.
Nitai has worked in the nonprofit sector for many years and has dedicated himself studying the issue of interpersonal abuse. Nitai recently completed his master’s degree in psychology with a focus on coercion and complex trauma from the University of Salford in Manchester, U.K.
While passionate about addressing abuses of influence and power, Nitai also believes in promoting positive influence and healthy organizational cultures.
